Visionsoft Connector

The Vision platform (formerly Algo’Tech Vision) enables the management of technical documents and the design of business applications tailored to each organisation’s processes. The Synidia connector facilitates the flow of inspection data, reports and asset-related information, making them accessible within the document management tools and applications used by teams.

What if your information system is specific?

If your organization uses an internal ERP, a historic business application, or a proprietary database, Synidia can develop a dedicated interface.

  1. Data import
Data is collected from your source system, whatever its format or age.
  2. Cleaning and transcoding
Data quality is improved and data is converted into formats that can be used by the target tool.
  3. Mapping with your databases
Data is aligned with your asset databases, codes, and internal naming rules.
  4. Routing to the target tool
Structured data is sent to the CMMS, EAM, ERP or target application.

Whatever your information system: custom connectors can use API, batch, XML or SFTP, depending on the maturity of your information system.

Choosing the right approach

Standard connector, custom connector, or manual processing: which should you choose?

There are three possible approaches, with different balances between cost, delivery time, reliability, and scalability. The right choice depends on both the maturity of your information system and the specific nature of the data flow.

Manual integration Standard connector Custom connector
When should you use it? Low volume or occasional exception Standard target software available on the market Specific information system, internal ERP, or custom application
Time to launch Immediate, but expensive over time Fast activation, already proven Depends on the complexity of the data flow
Long-term reliability Low and dependent on team discipline High and maintained by Synidia High and monitored by Synidia
Total cost High over time because of time and errors Optimized and shared between customers Depends on the project scope
Scalability Limited, with work starting again after every change Updated according to changes made by the software publisher Maintainable and scalable

Need a complete integration project?

If your need goes beyond activating a connector, Synidia Digital can manage the complete integration project: data-flow mapping, architecture, custom development, end-to-end testing, production launch, and monitoring.

Frequently asked questions

Synidia connectors FAQ

The main questions about Synidia connectors and compatibility with the tools already used in your organization.

A connector is an interface that allows data to flow between two systems that do not communicate natively. It collects information from a source tool, transforms it into the right format, and sends it to the target tool.

With Synidia, a connector can, for example, transform a compliance report into structured data that can feed into a CMMS or an ERP, without duplicate data entry.

Synidia offers proven standard connectors with the main software solutions on the market: SAP, Carl Software, IBM Maximo, DIMO, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Infor, as well as GIS integration with ArcGIS and documented APIs.

This catalog is continuously maintained and extended to follow changes made by software publishers.

No. API Management is Synidia’s standard architecture, but not every information system uses APIs.

Depending on the maturity of your information system, a connector can also use batch, XML, or SFTP.

Yes. When your information system is based on an internal ERP, a historic application, or a proprietary database, Synidia designs a custom interface.

It covers the full chain: import, cleaning, transcoding, mapping with your databases, and routing to the target tool.

For a standard connector that is already available in our catalog, activation can be very fast, from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the complexity of your databases and the required tests.

For a custom connector, the delivery time depends on the complexity of the data flow, the amount of data to transform and the number of connected systems. We provide a clear estimate during the mapping stage.

Yes. When your information system is based on an internal ERP, a historic application, or a proprietary database, Synidia designs a custom interface.

It covers the full chain: import, cleaning, transcoding, mapping with your databases, and routing to the target tool.

Synidia monitors connectors in production. Every data flow is tracked, and rejections and errors are detected, recorded, and processed.

The connector is also maintained and updated as the tools it connects continue to evolve.
