A Digital Factory proven on strategic Apave Group projects

A business need with no standard answer, and an internal team under pressure

Your teams work around the limits of existing tools, Excel files multiply, and specific needs continue to grow. Recruiting an internal team to develop custom software can take months. Fully offshore models offer capacity, but they do not always provide the right level of quality, communication and project management. You need a partner able to deliver quickly, at the right level of quality, and at the best cost, without losing control.

01

No standard software fully covers your business needs

Standard solutions do not reflect your processes, business rules, field constraints, or integration needs with your information system. Your teams work around the software, Excel files multiply, and critical data moves outside the information system.

02

Internal capacity is used by daily operations and recruitment takes time

Your developers maintain existing systems and no longer have enough time for strategic projects. Recruitment takes months, managing external contractors requires time, and every delay affects the business roadmap.

03

Fully offshore models can be difficult to manage

Time differences, language barriers, limited visibility of progress, and uneven code quality: fully offshore development can reduce costs, but it can also transfer risk to the IT department. You want to manage your budget without losing control of the project.

Part of the Apave Group

French project management powered by a Digital Factory

Synidia is not a digital startup or a standard offshore IT services company. We are a software publisher supported by a Digital Factory based in Skopje, North Macedonia. It has been active since 2018 and has already delivered some of the Apave Group’s most strategic projects.

On the client side, you have one main contact in France: an Engagement Manager, Proxy Product Owner, Tech Lead or Delivery Manager, depending on your project. On the production side, an expert team can be set up quickly and works in the same time zone as you.

You get the best of both worlds: close project management, reliable delivery, and competitive costs. No long development tunnel, no black box, and no loss of control over your business challenges.

Synidia’s Strengths

Custom software development: three Synidia strengths to secure your projects

The mix-shore model defines how our teams are organized. Artificial intelligence and Agile methods define how we deliver. These three elements work together to reduce development time, secure technology choices, and deliver reliable, scalable software adapted to your users.

Key point No. 1

A French team powered by a Digital Factory

Project management is based in France, with one main contact. Development is carried out by our Digital Factory in Skopje, in the same time zone as France, UTC+1. Teams can quickly increase or reduce their capacity depending on each stage of the project, with competitive daily rates and strong delivery control.

  • Engagement Manager, Proxy Product Owner, Tech Lead and Delivery Manager based in France
  • Experts available in Skopje for .NET, PHP, Java, Angular and other technologies
  • Same time zone as France

Key point No. 2

Artificial intelligence as an accelerator, not a promise

We use AI in our custom development process to speed up repetitive tasks, improve code quality, and give our teams more time for what really matters: architecture, security, and key technology decisions. AI does not replace expertise. It helps our teams focus on high-value decisions.

  • Assisted code generation, code reviews and detection of repeated patterns
  • Better test coverage with AI tools integrated into the CI/CD process
  • A Vibe Coding culture to attract and retain experts interested in advanced technologies

Key Point No. 3

A Scrum method with no black-box effect

We work in short cycles, with a shared backlog, regular demonstrations and direct integration with your project management tools. Your technical teams remain involved and can challenge our choices at every stage. No long tunnel and no surprises at delivery.

  • Short sprints, regular demonstrations and a shared backlog
  • Integration with Jira, Teams and Slack, or with your internal tools
  • Clear commitments on budget, quality, predictability and productivity

Security, confidentiality and service continuity

Security is included from the design stage of every application. Our practices follow OWASP standards, and we can work with OPPIDA, our specialist sister company, for penetration testing and security audits on the most sensitive applications.

From project scoping to production: a clear path for developing your custom application

Every custom software project follows a proven process adapted to its context. The objective is always the same: design a custom application that meets the business need, follows technical requirements, connects to the information system, and remains scalable after production launch.

Scoping

A short workshop with your business teams and IT department. We define the need, target architecture, technical and security requirements, integration with the information system, and mobility needs.

Design

A Proxy Product Owner and a Tech Lead organize the backlog, prioritize the User Stories, select the right technologies and define the main integration points with the information system. This design stage secures the foundation of the project before the first sprint.

Development in sprints

Development is organized in short cycles, with regular demonstrations, code reviews, automated tests, and continuous integration. The Agile method helps control development time while giving you a clear and permanent view of progress.

Delivery and continuity

Production launch, deployment support, updates, corrections, and the option to continue with a Third-Party Application Maintenance contract to keep the final product operational.

The right model

Mix-shore, fully offshore, or internal recruitment: what this really means for your IT projects

Three models offer three different balances between cost, quality, delivery time, and project management. The Synidia mix-shore model aims to combine the main benefits of each model without their main limits.

Internal recruitment Fully offshore Synidia mix-shore
Time needed to create the team Several months for recruitment and onboarding Fast, but with uneven quality A few weeks with qualified profiles
Project management Internal, but teams are often already busy Remote, with a time difference One main contact in France, same time zone
Cost High daily rates and fixed costs Low daily rates, but hidden costs for rework and management Competitive daily rates and controlled delivery
Scalability Limited by the employment market Strong for volume, weaker for rare expertise Flexible, with teams able to increase or reduce capacity
Visibility of progress Good, but teams often focus on daily operations Limited, with a frequent black-box effect Scrum method, regular demonstrations and integration with your tools

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom software development FAQ

The main questions asked by CIOs and CTOs before starting a custom software development project with Synidia: model, team, security, method, and cost.

Custom software development means designing an application specifically adapted to the needs, processes, technical requirements and strategic choices of an organization. Unlike standard software, which is designed to cover general uses, custom software meets a specific business need: internal workflows, business rules, integration with the information system, field mobility, user rights, reporting or security requirements.

This approach is particularly useful when no market solution correctly covers the need, when existing tools have reached their limits, or when a company wants to create business software able to evolve with the organization.

The cost of custom software depends on the functional scope, business complexity, level of integration with the information system, security requirements, data volume, interface design, and maintenance needs after production launch.

A simple software development project may cost tens of thousands of euros. A complete business application connected to several systems, with specific workflows, user profiles, dashboards and long-term support, may cost hundreds of thousands.

At Synidia, the budget is defined after a scoping stage. This stage helps clarify priorities, identify essential features, select the right project model, and build a realistic path from the MVP to future developments. The mix-shore model also helps control costs without reducing project management quality, software quality or security.

The mix-shore model combines two elements: project management in France and development by our Digital Factory in Skopje, North Macedonia. You have one main French contact, an Engagement Manager, Proxy Product Owner, Tech Lead or Delivery Manager depending on the project, and our developers work in the same time zone as you.

The objective is to combine the project management quality expected from a French company with the competitive costs and scalability of a nearshore Digital Factory.

Project management is provided in France by a multidisciplinary team: an Engagement Manager for the contract and customer relationship, a Proxy Product Owner to turn business needs into backlog items, a Tech Lead for architecture choices, and a Delivery Manager for sprint management.

Development is carried out by our Digital Factory in Skopje, which boasts around 40 experts. Depending on the required profiles, we provide skills in .NET, PHP, Java, Angular and other technologies. The factory has existed since 2018 and has already delivered strategic applications for the Apave Group.

Code quality is based on three elements: systematic code reviews by Tech Leads, continuous integration with automated tests and a strong technical culture supported by our Vibe Coding approach, which helps us attract and retain experts interested in advanced technologies.

For security, our practices follow OWASP standards. We have started an ISO 27001 certification process and can work with OPPIDA, our specialist sister company, for penetration testing and security audits on the most sensitive applications.

AI is included in our development process to speed up repetitive tasks, such as assisted generation, completion and test generation, improve quality through automated code reviews and pattern detection, and give teams more time for architecture, security and integration choices.

We do not oversell AI. It does not replace developer expertise, architecture choices or business understanding. It helps our teams focus on the parts of the project with the highest value.

Our main target is strategic projects for large companies, where the mix-shore model provides the most value: strong production capacity, flexible team size and high standards for quality and project management.

We can also work on more focused projects when the business or technical complexity requires a dedicated team and a structured scoping stage. The best way to know is to discuss your needs during a scoping workshop.

We work with Scrum, using short sprints, a shared backlog, regular demonstrations, and permanent visibility of progress. We connect to your usual tools, such as Jira, Teams and Slack, or use our own tools if you prefer.

This transparency is important for CIOs and CTOs: no black-box effect and no surprise at delivery. Your technical teams can challenge our choices at every stage.

You have a choice. You can take over the application internally, and we support the transfer to your teams. You can also continue with a Third-Party Application Maintenance contract with Synidia, covering corrective maintenance, new developments, technical support and, as an option, hosting and the bilingual 24/7 Service Desk.

The advantage of this contract is that you have one main contact for both the build and the run, with a team that is already familiar with your code and business needs.

Synidia is not a digital startup or a general offshore IT services company. We are a software publisher supported by a Digital Factory active since 2018, already proven on strategic Apave Group projects such as Prisme, AIMS and Pilot Exploitation.

Our culture combines the functional strength of a software publisher, based on Mainta’s 40 years of CMMS experience, with the modern technology of an Agile software factory. We understand the industrialization, scalability, business continuity and security issues faced by CIOs and CTOs.
